Banish greasy hair for good!

Shining with brilliance or wit is great… but hair that gleams from grease even at night? Not so much :p
If you’re looking for quick fixes, here are three ways to disguise oily hair depending on how much time you’ve got.

In 5 minutes: Quick cover-up

When a hat isn’t an option, dry shampoo becomes your best friend for hiding oily roots.
Spray it onto the scalp and lengths from about 20 cm away, let it sit for a couple of minutes so it can soak up excess oil, then brush out any leftover powder.
Today, there are formulas suited to every hair type, but avoid overusing them—some varieties can eventually dry out your hair.

In 15 minutes: Smart styling

Long live slick ponytails! They’re perfect for disguising greasy roots. Here’s how:

  1. Straighten your lengths.

  2. Make a side part by lining up with the highest point of your eyebrow and guiding a tail comb about ten centimeters.

  3. Gather your hair into a low ponytail.

  4. Apply gel to the first ten centimeters from the roots using a brush.
Voilà! A chic mix of gloss and matte… and your oily roots are practically invisible.

In 30 minutes: A proper wash

Washing is key, but technique matters.
You’ll need two complementary shampoos:
– One specifically designed for oily roots, used once a week. A great option from Milk Shake works perfectly here.
– A gentle, sulfate- and silicone-free neutral shampoo for regular washing the rest of the time—Milk Shake’s mild cleansing formulas are ideal.

To avoid overstimulating the oil glands, try washing only every 48–72 hours. Massage your scalp gently with small circular motions instead of scrubbing hard. When blow-drying, choose a medium heat—neither too hot nor too cool.

For an extra boost, clay masks once or twice a week can help absorb excess oil, and zinc-based treatments often deliver good results too.
